St Mary the Virgin, Melbury Bubb, Dorset

The church dates from the 1Oth century, but the tower was added during the 15th century

The font is probably the main interest of this church, with its fine carving of animals and knot designs. It is believed to be a converted saxon cross shaft, hence the whole carving is upside down and hard to decipher.
